The late Dr. Abdulqader Al-Ammari Hall at Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital in Sirte hosted a workshop entitled "How Well Do Women in the Civil Service Understand the State Public Service Labour Law?"

The event opened with verses from the Holy Quran, followed by welcome speeches from Mr. Ben Nour Abdullah Imlitan, head of the Central Region Office; Ms. Haniya Boukhris, member of the Sirte Municipal Council; Ms. Fatima Al-Shah, representing Sirte local radio; Ms. Najia Saleh Al-Misrati, Director of the Office for Women's Support and Empowerment at the Ministry of Civil Service; and finally Ms. Najah Saad Itbiqa of the Office for Women's Support and Empowerment at the Central Region Office.

The programme also included a video presentation on the Central Region Office's activities in 2024 and a video about Sirte, which hosted the workshop.

The workshop aims to shed light on how well women working in the public sector understand the legislation governing their work, and how this affects their performance and employment rights. It is a valuable opportunity for women in the civil service to learn in depth about the provisions of the labour law and the implementing regulations for public service, enabling them to exercise their rights fully and fulfil their duties efficiently and knowledgeably.

The workshop will conclude with discussion sessions for participants specialized in administrative and labour law, to ask questions, exchange experience and arrive at recommendations based on a shared understanding of challenges and solutions, strengthening women's legal awareness and enabling women in the civil service to play their role with effectiveness and confidence.
