The Pediatrics Department of Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital in Sirte today organized an important awareness lecture entitled "Water Safety for Children: Dealing with Drowning at Sea — Guidance for Parents and Doctors".
The lecture, given by Dr. Rima Al-Zayani, covered ways to prevent drowning accidents among children, focusing on practical guidance for both parents and doctors. It also covered danger signs, basic first-aid steps in drowning cases, and when to seek emergency medical help.
The lecture was held in the Dr. Abdullah Al-Ahwal Hall in the Pediatrics Department and attended by the head of the department and training supervisor, Dr. Ansar Kamal Hassan Abu Shamala, and a number of the department's specialists and residents, reflecting the great importance the management and the department attach to water safety and child safety in general.
