In a gesture of appreciation and gratitude, the hospital management this afternoon presented certificates of thanks and appreciation to the Medical Supply and Treatment Services Agency of the Libyan Government, the visiting doctors from Egypt, and the medical equipment companies who helped make the series of joint replacement operations at Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital in Sirte a success.
The outstanding expertise of the visiting medical team, together with the high professionalism of our national staff in the Orthopedics Department and the main operating theatres, produced remarkable results: 45 successful operations for patients with joint damage during May.
Continuing events and workshops like these help develop the hospital's local medical skills and add to their scientific experience, while relieving the suffering of many patients and sparing them the trouble of travelling abroad for this kind of surgery.
