The joint replacement workshop at Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital in Sirte concluded today, having performed 45 operations in less than a month for patients from various Libyan cities suffering from chronic joint problems.
These operations could not have achieved such outstanding success without the unlimited support of the General Command of the Armed Forces in providing the necessary resources — especially for areas that need stronger specialized services — together with the latest medical equipment and high-quality artificial joints, and the excellent coordination with the Medical Supply and Treatment Services Agency of the Libyan Government, which provided all the necessary supplies and every facility for the operations to succeed.
Today's final operations are the fruit of the combined efforts of an integrated team of orthopedic surgeons, anesthetists, nurses and technicians who worked with great dedication to ensure the success of every operation and to care for patients before and after surgery.
Finally, to the medical and allied health team we say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. They worked without stopping for long hours that went beyond the limits of their physical strength, but never beyond their determination and their belief in the noble mission they carry.
Every operation and every joint implanted was the result of hours of careful concentration, accumulated experience and tireless effort. Today, by God's grace and their dedication, many will return to normal life, and the long years of suffering will come to an end.
