Cochlear implant operations have resumed in the ENT theatres of Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital, Sirte, carried out by the hospital's own national medical staff, for patients registered on the waiting list — restoring their hope of regaining their hearing, God willing.

These operations are part of the hospital management's efforts to continue offering advanced solutions for patients with hearing loss, with direct support from the General Command of the Armed Forces, which has provided everything needed for the operations to succeed.

The surgical team:

  • Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Hajjan, consultant in ear and microsurgery
  • Consultant Dr. Bashir Al-Hanash
  • Specialist Dr. Emad Eddin Al-Fasi
  • Specialist Dr. Ahmed Adam

They were joined by the department's residents and allied health staff, including theatre and anesthesia technicians. May God bless their efforts.

Operations like these are an achievement that delights the hospital's medical and administrative staff, as they open a door of hope for patients with hearing loss and give them a new chance to improve their lives and take part fully in society.
