The visit is part of supporting and developing the health sector in line with the General Command's Vision 2030, through the accreditation of health centres in the Central Region — among them Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital, a successful example of the major progress achieved in recent years in the medical services it provides to patients from Sirte and other Libyan cities, through a wide range of surgical operations, including the kidney transplant, urology, orthopedic and cardiac catheterization operations currently under way at the hospital, among others.

A ceremony was held in the Dr. Abdulqader Al-Ammari Hall, attended by the Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, a number of directors of departments at the ministry, the Mayor of Sirte, directors of health centres and facilities in the municipality, and heads of the hospital's medical departments. Speeches were delivered on behalf of the Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation, Sirte Municipality, Ibn Sina Hospital and the Ministry of Health, all praising the major progress of the health sector in Sirte Municipality. A video was also shown highlighting the extensive services provided to patients at this major medical institution.

The Undersecretary's visit is part of the accreditation of a number of health centres, verifying their compliance with the approved standards that ensure quality healthcare and that they meet all the requirements and criteria for accreditation, helping to improve performance and strengthen citizens' trust in health institutions.
