As part of ongoing preparations for the Flintlock exercises, the head of the Higher Security Committee for the exercises, Major General Safwan Boutighan, together with a number of military officials and the Mayor of Sirte, Mr. Mukhtar Al-Madani, made an inspection tour of Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital, Sirte, on Saturday 11 April 2026, accompanied by the Director General, Dr. Ali Khalifa Eljarroshi, and the head of the hospital's emergency operations room.
The tour covered a number of the hospital's critical departments, reviewing the level of readiness and the technical and medical preparations, and confirming that the resources needed to deal with the various possible scenarios during the exercises are available.
The visit underlined the importance of raising readiness and coordination between all departments to ensure fast and effective health services and strengthen the hospital's ability to respond to emergencies with high efficiency.
