The specialized kidney transplant team of the Arab Group for Kidney Transplantation arrived at Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital, Sirte, from Jordan this Monday, to launch the fourth phase of kidney transplant operations, with the direct support of the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, to comfort patients who have endured years of dialysis and bring new hope into their lives, and under the sponsorship of the National Development Agency and Al-Sada Libya Company.
The team was received by the hospital's Director General, Dr. Ali Eljarroshi, and the head of the Nephrology Department, Dr. Mohammed Ashqaq.
The three previous phases of the hospital's kidney transplant program, which began early last September, performed 17 operations, all successful by God's grace.
