The hospital's Director General welcomed the participants, noting that the hospital has hosted a series of conferences, seminars and workshops over the past two years that have contributed greatly to developing medical staff, and stressing that the goal is not only to exchange expertise but to build a real and lasting partnership that is reflected in the quality of services to citizens. He thanked the General Command of the Armed Forces and the Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, for his continuing support for the hospital, most recently for the kidney transplant program, in which 15 operations have been performed successfully by God's grace, and wished the conference success.

They thanked the General Command for supporting these conferences, the hospital management for its great efforts that have made this institution comparable to regional and international centres, and the sponsoring companies, and wished the conference success in producing results that will raise the standard of patient care.
