Organized by the hospital's Human Resources Development Office, a training course on interventions to prevent mother-to-child transmission of infection began this morning in the late Dr. Abdulqader Al-Ammari Hall at Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital.
The course is organized by the National Centre for Disease Control under the direct supervision of UNICEF and runs for three days, Tuesday to Thursday, 21–23 October 2025.
It is aimed at medical and allied health staff from Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital, the Sirte Health Services Department and the Sirte branch of the National Centre for Disease Control, and seeks to raise the competence of healthcare providers and strengthen their ability to apply the latest methods of preventing transmission of infection from mothers to children, helping improve public health indicators and reduce transmitted infections.
The course is part of joint efforts between national health bodies and international organizations to strengthen the national health system and support maternal and child healthcare programs in Libya.
