Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital in Sirte this morning welcomed the team of the National Authority for Corneal Transplantation and Tripoli Eye Hospital.
The visit is part of the Authority's national program to bring treatment home, and reflects the management's determined efforts to relieve the suffering of patients from Sirte and neighbouring cities by performing operations at the hospital.
The caravan includes distinguished consultants and specialists in ophthalmology and eye surgery. On arrival they immediately began examining patients in preparation for scheduled operations, working alongside the doctors and medical and allied health staff of the hospital's Ophthalmology Department.
