Among the outstanding medical achievements of which Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital in Sirte is proud is the great success of its kidney transplant operations, with success rates comparable to international centres, placing it at the forefront of hospitals providing this specialized and delicate treatment in Libya.

Kidney transplants at Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital are performed with the direct support of the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, under the supervision of an integrated medical team including the Arab Group for Kidney Transplantation from Jordan, the hospital's consultants in renal and urological surgery and in vascular surgery, specialist anesthetists, and a nursing team trained specifically to care for kidney transplant patients.

The team works in complete harmony to ensure the best results for each patient, not only during surgery but before and after it, through treatment and follow-up plans carefully designed for each case. We fully understand that a kidney transplant is not just an operation but a chance to save a person's life and transform it, leaving behind the suffering of chronic dialysis and beginning a new, healthier life.

This achievement would not have been possible without the combined efforts and continuing support of the General Command and the attention of the young management, which constantly seeks to improve the quality of medical services for the people of Sirte and the surrounding areas.
