Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital today received the specialized kidney transplant team from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
This humanitarian initiative comes with the direct support of the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, to comfort patients who have endured years of dialysis and bring new hope into their lives, and is sponsored by the National Development Agency and Al-Sada Libya Company.
The visiting team consists of experienced doctors and surgeons in organ transplantation, who are due to begin examining patients tomorrow morning in preparation for operations during their visit.
The hospital's Director General, Dr. Ali Khalifa Eljarroshi, welcomed the medical team, stressing the importance of this step in developing local capabilities and supporting Libyan medical staff through the exchange of expertise and direct practical training.
The visit is part of a series of medical programs supported by the General Command of the Armed Forces to bring treatment home and expand advanced health services in Libyan cities.
