The late Dr. Abdulqader Al-Ammari Hall hosted a ceremony at which the hospital management honored visiting doctors Dr. Alaa Wafa, consultant in bariatric surgery and sleeve gastrectomy, and Dr. Suleiman bin Naji, together with the consultants and specialists of the Surgery and Anesthesia departments, after completing the operations performed at the hospital on 25–26 August.
The Director General, Dr. Ali Khalifa Eljarroshi, and the Deputy Director, Dr. Jadallah Diryag, presented certificates of thanks and appreciation to the visiting doctors and the surgical and anesthesia teams for their efforts over two days, during which they performed 10 operations.
These operations were performed for the first time in Sirte using modern laparoscopic techniques in line with the latest surgical protocols, sparing patients the hardship of having them done elsewhere.
Finally, we extend our thanks and appreciation to the young management of this major medical institution for its constant efforts to bring in medical expertise across specialties, perform a wide range of operations and relieve patients of the cost and burden of travelling abroad for this kind of treatment.
